Portraiture fascinates me. The challenge lies in capturing that elusive presence of a particular personality and character. My portraits are commissioned through photographs and are often given as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions.As for my oil paintings, they are my source of personal expression. I paint the wonderful world of plants and birds in oils on canvas, using the garden as my unending well of inspiration. My paintings vary in size from the small to the large, and my palette is always vibrant and imbued with eastern warmth.
My portraits usually consist of a head and shoulder study, sizes ranging from 16"x12" upwards, with the cost of the portrait depending on medium and size.
I take commissions for portraits in pastels and oils, and do charcoal and pencil studies.
